Set it up
Your Office Walker arrives fully assembled. I built it that way on purpose, so you can start walking the same day it shows up at your door.

1
Unpack it
Tip the box onto its side and open it. Slide the Office Walker out from one end. It weighs about 25 kg, so a second pair of hands helps, but one person can manage. Take off the protective cover, lay it flat on the floor, and remove the plastic wrap.

Remove the two locks
Your Office Walker ships with two locks wedged into the holes at the top, one on each side. They keep it from rolling during transport. Pull both out before you step on it, as shown in the video. Keep them somewhere safe: if you have children at home, slide them back in whenever you're not walking and it won't move forward or backward.

Take your first steps
Slide the Office Walker under your standing desk so the front end sits about 20 to 30 cm under the edge of the desk. That puts you close enough to type and rest your hands on the desk while you walk. Don't step straight onto the walking surface. There's no motor and no brake, so the slats move as soon as you put weight on them. 1. Step onto the wooden side panels first, one foot on each side. 2. Hold on to your desk until you feel stable. 3. Move one foot onto the walking surface and slowly push it back. 4. Keep holding the desk and take it slow until you get the feel for it.

Set your desk height
Stand on the floor at your desk and set it so your elbows rest comfortably on it. Then step onto the Office Walker and raise the desk about 10 to 14 cm higher. That's usually all it takes to walk and type comfortably.
