Shipping

Every Office Walker is built by hand in Berlin and ships worldwide, as one standard parcel.

We ship with our partners DHL, FedEx and UPS. Every parcel is insured and tracked, and the tracking link reaches you the day it leaves the workshop.

Delivery is against signature. We send everything insured and signed for unless you ask us not to, so plan for someone to be there when it arrives. The parcel weighs about 25 kg. It is one box, but it is a heavy one.

How long it takes. Roughly 5 to 7 business days from dispatch, for both the European Union and the United States. That is an estimate rather than a binding delivery date, and it runs from dispatch, not from the moment you order.

Customs and duties

European Union. No customs duties and no import charges. The Office Walker is made in Germany and ships from Germany, so a delivery inside the EU never crosses a customs border.

United States. Duties and tariffs are prepaid by us before dispatch, so nothing is owed on delivery. State and local sales tax is calculated and shown separately at checkout, according to your delivery address.

It arrives assembled, in paper and cardboard with no plastic. There is nothing to plug in and nothing to configure.

Returns

Orders placed through our website can be returned within thirty days of delivery (this does not apply to Kickstarter pledges, which are subject to Kickstarter's own rules and terms, which we cannot override). Customers in the European Union also have a statutory right of withdrawal of fourteen days. The full policy, including the model withdrawal form, is in Right of Withdrawal and Returns.

Kickstarter pledges. The voluntary thirty-day return policy does not apply to pledges made on Kickstarter. Kickstarter pledges are subject to Kickstarter's own rules and terms, including the Kickstarter Terms of Use and the reward described on our Kickstarter campaign page, which we cannot override. Statutory rights that apply to you by law are not affected.

What a return costs

A 25 kg walker costs real money to move, and the costs of a return sit with the person returning it: the shipping that brought it to you, the shipping back to us, and any import duties, customs charges and taxes we paid on your behalf that cannot be recovered. Those amounts have already gone to our shipping partners and to the customs authorities, so we deduct them from your refund and send you the invoice or receipt for each one. If a customs authority refunds any duty to us, we pass it on to you.

You can arrange the return shipping yourself, or we can book a label for you and show you its cost before the return is booked.

We cover these costs ourselves where the walker is defective, damaged on arrival, or not what you ordered.

For customers in the European Union, the statutory right of withdrawal applies on its own terms, set out in Right of Withdrawal and Returns.

Condition, and what you may do with it

Unpack it and try it. That is what the period is for. There is no restocking fee. You owe compensation for a reduction in value only if you handled it beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, and that handling reduced its value.

Please return it in its original packaging where possible, and pack it securely in any case.

Refunds

Once the returned walker reaches us and has been checked, we refund you within fourteen days, to the payment method you originally used. We may withhold the refund until the goods are back with us, or until you have supplied evidence that you have sent them.
